This morning I went back to North Shore and shot a lot of film of the deteriorating motel.

And went to Salton Sea Beach, on the west side of the lake, just to see what was there. A lot of abandoned and flooded structures, and this old bar. I did shoot quite a bit of film in both places, but Salton Sea Beach is a good place to be at sunset.

Back to the packing plant in Niland at the south end of the lake. I shot some really nice material of the low sun inside this building. Lots of deep red and orange light inside. Note all the paintball splats, and the rather literate graffiti. "Kill tomorrow's shadow, let yesterday live plural." How cool is that? For a while I thought it said ".. lest yesterday live plural.", which changes whatever meaning this might have in interesting ways. The "Blah Blah" TV set is a nice touch too. They know TV in Niland.
